  8. OMG, now I’m jonesing cake for MY breakfast. (Or dinner, who cares?) Thanks a lot– tell me there are cornflakes in there or that you put it in a bowl and mashed it up with milk.

  11. that looks sooooo yummy. I can eat sugar for any meal, I try to not let Maya, but like I tell her i am older and can make bad decisions, no doubt that will come back and haunt me.

  17. for those who are interested, I began with this recipe and adapted it in several ways (’cause that’s how I roll):

    I reduced the amount of sugar by quite a bit and increased the ginger and spices, then I used melted butter instead of half of the vegetable oil.

    for the frosting, I adapted a standard honey cream cheese frosting by using agave syrup instead of honey, and about half of the confectioner’s sugar.
