report to court

The final report of our adoption agency has (finally) been sent off to court. Now we are really almost final!

Here is the conclusion of our case worker (the one who did our home study 1.5 years ago):

“[Petitioners] continue to fall more in love with their daughter and family life each day.  They prioritize their daughter’s needs and parent with great love and attention.  [Baby J] is developing emotionally, socially and developmentally.  I recommend that this adoption be finalized.”

And our agency’s final recommendation:

“The Petitioners are providing a loving and stable family for the minor.  [Agency] recommends that the petition of adoptive parents [Luna] and [M] for the adoption of [Baby J] be granted as being in the best interests of the child.”

What lovely words to read as I sit hear listening to the sound of our daughter’s beautiful laughter and watch her crawling around (a new development in the past week!).

We still don’t know when our hearing will be, but we could get a date set within days!
